On Friday night, BCS welcomed Davenport and Nooksack Valley to tune up with a series of individual matches, without team scoring, in preparation for the big As Iron Sharpens Iron tournament at BCS the next day.

Sudden victories (and equally sudden injuries) highlighted this night of wrestling.  Referee Wallace Chocklon remarked after the final match that "16 matches felt like 30!"  He did a great job keeping the action under control and moving the matches briskly along.

In the morning, these teams and others will face off in eight-man weight brackets starting at 10:00 a.m. on three mats.  Individual tournament champions will vie for the top spot at each of the 14 weights and scores will tally to determine the 2009 team champions.
